BootManage Bootix BootManage® Administrator is a BootProm, which carries out the remote-controlled initial installation or reinstallation of an operating system on networked PCs via the network. This happens centrally, without the need for an operator to be present at the client PC. By means of the easy-to-use graphical surface, the typical tasks of the central administration can be managed from a networked desktop computer. These tasks range from the automatic client hardware recognition and the remote-controlled hard disk partitioning and formatting to the individually-adapted installation of an operating system. All this happens by means of one generic remote boot file (so called Boot-Image), which the PC loads from a server via the network. The Boot-Image provides the PC with tools to monitor its own installation. Missing drivers or problems during the installation of the operating system will be promptly reported to the BootManage® Administrator. Diverse assistents will support the network administrator to add the missing drivers. Another service of the administration console is starting and stopping clients via remote-control. In combination with the integrated timing service, groups of PCs can be installed at predefined times, even overnight. |
